Pretty China

Just went to visit Ikea with a friend, they do have great things to buy for a comfy white home.. 

They have new China, called ARV and it's gorgeous <3

Off-white or pastel pink with a lovely border.. 

In off-white I bought two dinner plates, two breakfast plates and two bowls and in pink two bowls. 

And two bowls in pastel pink.

Of course I already have China, but that's not so pretty.

Time for a change; every now and then I could allow myself buying one plate..

French door blind

Two weeks ago I found these French door blinds as you may remember. 

Yesterday I've painted the bottom parts in a white chalk paint and sandpapered it. But I'm not so happy with it.. I think I will paint it again in a more cream color. 

But it's the perfect place for one of my French blinds. Photographed with the last pioenies of this year..

My new teapot and cup and saucer, bought them yesterday. 

I love the little flowers on the teapot and the cup and saucer fit perfectly.

Summer break 2012

7 weeks off... 

Last year my summer break was about finding furniture and decorations for my home, I still had a few months left until moving out.

This year I'll be visiting my aunt with my sister Manon, going  to Paris <3 with my dear friend Mandy and I'll be having enough time to clean up my attic and do lots of fun stuff with my friends... I'm realy looking forward doing all that!

A lovely shop worth a visit

Today I visited the Mühlenlädchen, a lovely shop owned by fellow blogger Ulrike. She such a sweet lady and it was so nice to finally meet her. 

She sells decorations in Country style, Shabby Chic style and French style.

Look what I found today..

Today was my lucky day...

Every year my town organizes a Village Fest, where there is a band, the shops are open, you can buy food on the street and children sell their old stuff. 

This morning my sister and I were looking for old things and then, there they were, calling my name.. Two, very old, French door blinds. They need some paint, here and there, but they are perfect. 

Ever since I've moved in, my wish list contained finding white old French door blinds. 

As the owner told me the price, I was even more happier. 

I don't think he knows what they are worth.. But, oh well.. They're mine now :)

My little corner..

Yesterday I bought a white flower table. A while ago i bought the small version of this table, that I use as a night stand now. I'm so glad the store still had this one. 

The corner next to my living room couch is still empty and I'm looking for a small side table, but I haven't find anything that would fit perfectly.. 

So, I've placed this flower table next to the couch with my new pionies. Probably the last pionies this year.. 

Doesn't it look pretty?

Just some whites on my cupboard ~ Part I

A few weeks ago I bought these lovely bowls. 

The heart on the front makes it even lovelier.. 

The wooden board from HK Living was given to me by a dear friend as a present. The white part is the undersurface of the board. I was so happy as I got it and hope, one day, this boards big sister will be mine too.. ;)

Scrapbook

I've been walking around with this idea for quite some time.

For years, I've been collecting pictures of pretty ideas to decorate my future home. A scrapbook is the best way to keep them in one place. At the time I bought a Pip Studio scrapbook, in dark pink with flowers.

But it isn't white... So I decided to change it. The paper I used to cover it up, is a gorgeous, but see through gift paper from Jeanne d'Arc Living. So the book had to be covered up, so I wouldn't see the pink anymore. 

Before it's completed, I finished it off with off white lace, a pastel pink ribbon (Thanks to H&M clothing ;).), a doily, a tiny clock image with buttons and a small birdcage.   

Almost finished, but there was something missing in the middle... 

...so I glued tiny buttons on the clock.

Easter Brunch 2012

My parents, sister and her boyfriend came for a brunch at my house. I loved to decorate the table again. 
My mom brought the food and we had a very yummy brunch..

Shabby chic with lace

A few weeks ago I bought a book about the Shabby Chic home. 

Besides beautiful pictures, they showed some decoration ideas, such as this one. 

Lace glued on a glass jar. How simple, but what a gorgeous result..
